Hello Focus fans,
Just joined a couple of hours ago. I have an '03 Focus which I've had since 2005. In April of 2016 it went belly up. I presume that it dropped a valve seat. It will still start and run, but I don't consider it to be drivable.
My question to you all, since replacing the stock engine will cost more than the Blue Book value of the car, what kind of options do I have with an entirely different powerplant for creating something uniquely different than the usual Focus? I have only some minor fabrication experience, so any major cutting/welding is out of the question. Is it true that a Taurus engine can be installed? Someone told me that once. If so, which one?
Thank you for any suggestions.
