- What I Drive
- 2014 Focus Hatchback Platinum 2.0
At this moment, I believe that all of my issues are electrical and related to the speedometer module. My car is a 2014 Focus Fastback Titanium (all the bells and whistles) 2.0. Yesterday I drove to my doctor's office and left the engine and A/C running with my wife in the car. When I returned and getting ready to drive away, I notices several warning lights on my dash - Information, Brake, ABS, Traction Control, as well as two messages - "Parking Aid Fault Service Required" and Hill Start Assist Not Available. I determined that these warnings did not affect the drivability, I had fully functional braking and drove home. While driving, I also found that the speedometer was not working and had two more issues - cruise control would not turn on, and the backup camera would not turn off. With a non-functional speedometer, these made sense. Oh yes, I checked the brake fluid level in the master cylinder. It was normal.
So, does anyone have information how to repair a dead electric speedometer???? Is there a module that needs to be replaced????
