Upgrading 5 Speed Shifter Parts?

Hello, I'm new here. I just bought a 2005 Ford Focus SES ZXW (wagon) in 5 speed manual. The car is old and the shift mechanism has a lot of 'play / slack /wiggle' and I want to eliminate that. I know I need to upgrade the shifting parts, and I've called 1 shop so far local to me. I need help. My goal is to find out what parts I'll need for this job. Has anyone done this service before? If so, could you point me in the direction to figure out what parts are required? Any help is greatly appreciated and I thank you for your time reading my post.

Grab an aftermarket shifter cable bushing kit (super cheap online). Changing those out usually tightens right up and takes 90% of the play away. Takes about 20–30 minutes under the hood with basic tools.
